Nursing Care Throughout the Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cell Therapy Process for Multiple Myeloma.

OBJECTIVES: Approvals of chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapies for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) represent advancements in treatment options for a hard-to-treat population. Nursing care during CAR-T therapy is crucial for patients, their caregivers, and the broader CAR-T therapy care team. This manuscript provides an overview of the CAR-T therapy administration process and describes practical considerations for nursing professionals working with patients who receive CAR-T therapy. DATA SOURCES: Current literature describing CAR-T therapies for RRMM and published gui

Teaching Care with Pride: Integrating Transgender and Gender-Diverse Prespectives in Nursing Education.

This article discusses the challenges of including transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) people in Nursing Education. Discussions focus on theoretic and practical understandings of how binary sex and gender norms impact the teaching of care for TGD people. There are suggestions for how to infuse content related to TGD health throughout nursing education curriculum. There are specific calls to action for individuals, schools of nursing, and nursing education organizations like the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, the American Nurses Association, and the National League for Nursing.

[ASSESSMENT OF THE KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDES OF NURSES ON THE SKIN CONDITION AND TREATMENT OF DAMAGE].

Practical experience and numerous studies have shown that, after finishing their studies nursing graduates are not sure in their independent assessment and treatment of wounds. It appears that nursing education lacks narrowly specialized educational content in this area, practical skills and connection between graduates and experts who follow the standards and guidelines in the area of wound healing. The aim of this study was to assess the knowledge through tests and attitudes of nurses/nursing graduates on the condition of the skin and damage treatment. In addition, the study was also aimed a

Nursing home nurses conceptualize how to care for residents with cardiac vulnerability.

BACKGROUND: With ageing, older people face cardiovascular problems as the major cause of disability and death. Although immediate medical attention is a major factor in determining outcomes of cardiac problems, lack of personnel (i.e. registered nurse, certified nursing assistant and home care aide) in nursing homes without residing doctor limits the awareness of such problems, thus making it difficult to initiate timely and appropriate intervention. AIM: The aim of this study was to conceptualize critical care for nursing home residents with cardiac vulnerability and develop practical knowle

Co-design of patient information leaflets for germline predisposition to cancer: recommendations for clinical practice from the UK Cancer Genetics Group (UKCGG), Cancer Research UK (CRUK) funded CanGene-CanVar Programme and the Association of Genetic Nurse Counsellors (AGNC).

BACKGROUND: Testing for germline pathogenic variants (GPVs) in cancer predisposition genes is increasingly offered as part of routine care for patients with cancer. This is often urgent in oncology clinics due to potential implications on treatment and surgical decisions. This also allows identification of family members who should be offered predictive genetic testing. In the UK, it is common practice for healthcare professionals to provide a patient information leaflet (PIL) at point of care for diagnostic genetic testing in patients with cancer, after results disclosure when a GPV is identi
