Malignant mixed müllerian tumor of the fallopian tube is extremely rare, with less than 50 cases recorded in the English literature. Another case is reported and discussed. This 66-year-old female patient complained of profuse watery vaginal discharge for one month. Vaginal cytology was positive for malignancy while the endometrial curettage and cervical biopsy were both negative. Gynecologic sonography revealed a left adnexal mass of 6 cm in diameter. The literature reveals a total of only 25 cases of malignant mixed Müllerian tumor of the fallopian tube. Another case is presented; the patient is well and without evidence of disease more than 5 years after the operative treatment. She also received postoperatively adjuvant cytostatic treatment with cyclophosphamide, vincristine, adriamycin, and external radiation therapy. An aggressive mode of treatment is recommended in this rare disease due to the usually very poor prognosis.

Testicular germ cell tumors are rare genitourinary malignancies, but they represent the most common malignancies in men aged 15 to 30 years. Whereas the initial steps of management such as staging imaging studies, inguinal orchiectomy, and tumor marker can be performed elsewhere, the surgical and cytotoxic therapy needs to be done at reference centers. Regionalization of testis care has been shown to result in superior oncological outcome.

We report a primary malignant mixed mesodermal tumor in the right ovary of 75-year-old woman. She was admitted to Kobe West Municipal Hospital because of an abdominal fullness and an upper abdominal pain. A laparotomy yielded yellowish-clear ascites (2,000 ml) a tumor located in the right ovary, an upper abdominal mass the size of a child's head between the stomach and the transverse colon, and disseminating small tumors of the peritoneum. The left ovary and uterus showed no particular change. Four months after the onset of her symptoms, the patient died of carcinomatous cachexia and dyspnea.

BACKGROUND: The term microinvasive germ cell neoplasia denotes the presence of neoplastic germ cells in the tubuli and interstitium of the testis, unaccompanied by clinically detectable tumor.
METHODS: Testicular biopsy specimens from three patients (age range, 26-38 years) without clinical evidence of tumor showed microinvasive germ cell neoplasia. GATA-4 is a highly conserved transcription factor that plays a critical role in regulating embryonic morphogenesis and cellular differentiation. The vast majority of primary bilateral TGCTs are metachronous, with synchronous tumors comprising approximately 0.5%-1% of all cases.
