We describe a new technique for the treatment of urinary incontinence due to intrinsic sphincteric damage in which a sling constructed from vaginal wall is used to provide compression and support of the urethra. A rectangular island of in situ anterior vaginal wall underlying the urethra and bladder neck is developed, the 4 corners are anchored with polypropylene sutures and a ligature carrier is used to transfer the sutures to a suprapubic location. Microplastics (MPs) are a growing concern in marine ecosystems, but data on their presence in deep-sea environments remain limited. This study investigates MP contamination in nine deep-sea invertebrate species collected from the Gulf of Orosei (Central eastern Sardinia, Italy) at depths of 250-450 m. We describe a novel, simple and minimally invasive surgical technique for the repair of iridodialysis, which can be easily adopted by general ophthalmologists and cataract surgeons. This study investigated the prevalence of microplastics (MPs) in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) of fish from the western coast of Bangladesh, the world's largest mangrove ecosystem. Altogether, 8 different species of fish (5 demersal and 3 pelagic) were examined. Microplastics were detected in every individual fish with an average abundance of 7.1 ± 3.14 particles per specimen.
