INTRODUCTION: The objective of this study was to report clinical outcomes (functional and anatomic) of Boston keratoprosthesis (KPro) after severe chemical burns in Southern China.

An Acrysof toric intraocular lens (IOL) and a capsular tension ring (CTR) were implanted in the highly myopic eye of a 74-year-old white man during cataract surgery. On the first postoperative day, the IOL was found 90 degrees from the required position, with a consequent high amount of astigmatism. We report a 63-year-old male who had undergone left eye optical penetrating keratoplasty for central leucomatous corneal opacity 10 years earlier. The eye had clear donor graft with residual astigmatism of -6.50 diopter cylinder (DC) at 30°. PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Presbyopia-correcting intraocular lenses are widely available. Residual ametropia is one of the most common issues that can result in patient dissatisfaction. Options for correcting refractive surprises include piggyback intraocular lens implantation, corneal incisional surgery and laser correction.
