PURPOSE: While PSMA-targeted radioligand therapy (RLT) has shown remarkable efficacy for treating end-stage prostate cancer, the α-emitting RLT often results in severe salivary gland toxicity, limiting its use. Various strategies to mitigate this side effect have been attempted with limited success. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the radiologic features of pyothorax-associated lymphoma on CT scans and chest radiographs.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Radiographs and CT scans of 21 patients with biopsy-proven pyothorax-associated lymphoma (17 men, four women; median age, 71 years; range 52-77 years) were retrospectively identified. Two readers in consensus analyzed the morphologic imaging features of pyothorax-associated lymphoma and determined their relation to the preexisting chronic empyema cavity. In 13 cases, gallium scans were available and were reviewed.

PURPOSE: Myocardial infarction (MI) triggers complex cellular responses essential for tissue repair and remodeling, including myofibroblast activation. Fibroblast activation protein alpha (FAP) identifies activated myofibroblasts post-MI, however its spatial distribution relative to the scar and area at risk (AAR) is unclear. Non-invasive FAP-imaging with PET radiotracer 68 Ga-FAPI-46 shows uptake beyond the infarct scar. We therefore aimed to characterize FAP expression in the AAR using a myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (MI/R) model in mice.

OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of gallium-67 ((67)Ga) scanning in the differentiation of malignant tumors from benign tumors or inflammatory disease in the oral and maxillofacial region. Study design Fifty-two patients with tumors or inflammation in the oral and maxillofacial region underwent (67)Ga scanning. The results were compared with the final pathologic diagnosis.
RESULTS: The gallium-67 scanning images for 20 of 21 patients who had malignant tumors were positive (95.23%); images for 3 out of 20 patients who had benign tumors also were positive (15%).
