Equatorin (MN9 antigenic molecule) is a widely distributed acrosomal protein in mammalian sperm. The acrosome reaction (AR)-inducing effect of follicular cells, like that of the cumulus oophorus and granulosa cells, has been described previously. OBJECTIVE: To study and compare raw and prepared semen samples from two consecutive days by conventional sperm parameters, various motility characteristics of spermatozoa determined by computer-aided sperm analysis and calcium ionophore-induced acrosome reaction.
