The fixed-time kinetic method is used for the determination of 15 phenols in methanol and acetic acid by measurement of the yellow products from the oxidation of the phenols with sodium metaperiodate. Although bisphenol A (BPA), a representative endocrine-disrupting compound, has been detected frequently in landfill leachate, effective technologies for BPA removal from landfill leachates are limited. We used high silica Y-type zeolite (HSZ-385) for the selective adsorption of BPA from landfill leachate, and factors affecting this adsorption are discussed. Simplified anaerobic digestion (SAD) of substrates facilitates microbial methanogenic pathways. The authors have used histochemical techniques to identify lymphocytic infiltrations in the rheumatoid nodule. They used the technique of alpha-naphtyl-acetate esterase (ANAE) for macrophages, ANAE plus Sodium Fluoride (NaF) for T-lymphocytes and 5-nucleotidase for B-lymphocytes. The results of this study reveal that the lymphocytic component of the rheumatoid nodule is mostly B-lymphocytes.

This paper presents an overview of the common types of corneal staining that are encountered when wearing contact lenses. Included are descriptions of corneal staining occurring with rigid lenses (polymethylmethacrylate and cellulose acetate buterate), various types of hydrophilic lenses and silicone lenses. Diethyl 2-(perfluorophenyl)malonate was synthesized in 47% isolated yield by the reaction of sodium diethyl malonate and hexafluorobenzene. The resulting compound was considered as a starting material for synthesizing 2-(perfluorophenyl)malonic acid by hydrolysis. By using the Kromasil CHI-TBB chiral stationary phase, the racemic mixture of pantoprazole sodium was resolved in the normal phase mode. The influences of the composition of the mobile phase, the content of acidic and basic additives and the flow rate on this enantiomer separation were studied.
