Mucinous cystadenoma, one of the subtypes of cystadenomas, is a rare benign salivary gland tumor. Most of the cases reported tumors presenting as asymptomatic, slow growing, single masses, primarily occurring in the parotid glands, buccal mucosa, and hard palate. This report describes a case of multiple mucinous cystadenomas that presented as subcutaneous swellings in both cheeks, which were mistaken for a benign subcutaneous tumor. Mucinous cystadenomas are among the most common benign ovarian neoplasms. They are known for their massive size causing compressive effects ranging from pressure, pain, bloating, and urinary symptoms. von Hippel-Lindau disease is a rare, inherited multicystic disorder that is characterized by several benign and malignant neoplasms (Odrzywolski, 2010). Classically, the disease manifests itself in a broad spectrum, including renal cell carcinomas, intracranial and spinal hemangioblastomas, endolymphatic sac tumors, renal and pancreatic cysts, and pheochromocytomas. Another important, but commonly forgotten manifestation is the cystadenoma of the rete testis.

Genital tuberculosis involving the ovary in a non-immunocompromised individual is rare. We report a case of coexisting ovarian serous cystadenoma and tuberculosis in a 29-year-old Indian woman. Clinical examination revealed the presence of an abdominal mass suspicious for ovarian neoplasm. Histopathological evaluation revealed ovarian neoplasm and concomitant tuberculosis. To the best of our knowledge, and after an extensive search of the literature, the coexistence of benign ovarian neoplasm and tuberculosis has not been previously documented.

Vermiform appendix torsion is rare, and even more uncommon is the volvulus of appendiceal mucinous tumors. To our knowledge, only nine cases of torsion of the vermiform appendix associated with appendiceal mucinous neoplasms have been reported up to date. We report a case of secondary torsion of the vermiform appendix with mucinous cystadenoma in a 30-year-old man. The symptoms were consistent with acute appendicitis. Diagnostic laparoscopy revealed a mucinous tumor of the appendix with a 360 degrees twisted appendix. In order to avoid peritoneal dissemination open appendectomy was performed.

A Zollinger-Ellison syndrome due to an ovarian mucinous cystadenoma of borderline malignancy is reported in a 76-year-old woman. Immunostaining procedures showed reactivity for gastrin in neoplastic cells. After operation, the patient has remained without symptoms for 6 years. This is the fifth case reported in the literature. All of these ovarian tumors were considered mucinous cystadenomas histologically.
