PURPOSE: Delays in presentation, diagnosis, and treatment present common challenges in breast cancer care in Ethiopia. However, few interventions have been implemented aimed at addressing the issue in the country. To tackle this problem, we conducted a situational assessment to gather general information on the health care infrastructure and workforce and to explore the potential opportunities and challenges for implementing clinical breast examination (CBE) and patient navigation (PN) intervention in Ethiopia.
METHODS: A qualitative study was conducted at six general hospitals. A total of 18

BACKGROUND: The Malawian context presents multifactorial challenges that hinder the provision of high-quality maternal health services, leading to high maternal morbidity and mortality rates. Priority setting is a crucial concept that can benefit the healthcare system in Malawi by efficiently distributing limited resources and maximising gains in maternal healthcare. We undertook a national maternal health prioritisation exercise involving key stakeholders to enhance delivery of maternal care in Malawi.
METHODS: During group discussions, the Nominal Group Technique was adapted to facilitate c

Despite Malaysia's low leprosy prevalence, new cases continue to emerge in rural and Indigenous communities. National strategies often prioritise elimination and surveillance, while overlooking the needs and challenges of individuals affected by leprosy and those managing their care. This study employed a transdisciplinary research approach, guided by the Dialogue Model, to co-develop context-specific strategies to improve the lives of those affected through participatory engagement with both groups. Conducted across three high-burden states in Peninsular Malaysia, the research involved a desk

Co-creation of education within the context of student inclusion alongside diverse stakeholders merits exploration. We studied the perspectives of students and teachers from different institutions who participated in co-creating a transition to residency curriculum. We conducted post-hoc in-depth interviews with 16 participants: final-year medical students, undergraduate, and postgraduate medical education stakeholders who were involved in the co-creation sessions. Findings build on the Framework of Stakeholders' Involvement in Co-creation and identify the four key components of co-creation wi

BACKGROUND: Older adults with chronic or acute cognitive impairment, such as dementia or delirium, who are hospitalized face unique barriers to person-centered care and a higher risk for negative outcomes stemming from hospitalizations. There is a need for co-designed interventions adapted for these patients to the hospital setting to improve care and outcomes. Patient life storytelling interventions have demonstrated promise in enhancing person-centered care by improving patient-care team relationships and providing information to enable care tailored to individual needs and values.

BACKGROUND: Fogging is a conventional technique used to combat Aedes mosquitoes and prevent dengue disease. It is often implemented in outbreak areas or areas harbouring a high density of Aedes mosquitoes. Currently, studies on stakeholders' attitudes towards fogging are still limited in number. Therefore, this study aims to assess Malaysian attitudes, and identify the predicting factors influencing such attitudes.
METHODS: A validated instrument was used to interview 399 randomly selected respondents from the public (n = 202, 50.6%) and scientists (n = 197, 49.4%) in the Klang Valley region

BACKGROUND: A growing body of research focuses on developing and testing interventions that leverage mental health-related mobile health (mHealth) services for patients with schizophrenia and other schizophrenia-spectrum disorders. Yet, most formative research has focused on patient perspectives, with little attention paid to clinical stakeholders.
AIMS: This qualitative study aimed to explore clinical stakeholders' (i.e., administrative supervisors, support staff, and clinicians) perspectives on what might help or hinder the use of mHealth, particularly when patients transition from inpatien

BACKGROUND: Innovative tools are needed to complement the existing approach for malaria elimination. Gene drive mosquitoes are one potential new technology in the control of malaria vectors. Target Malaria is one of the research projects developing this technology, and in July 2019, the project proceeded to an important step for this evaluation pathway: the small-scale release of non-gene drive sterile male mosquitoes in a village in Burkina Faso. In addition to the entomological and laboratory work to prepare for this important milestone, significant community and stakeholder engagement work

Conducting health research in rural settings of sub-Saharan Africa presents unique challenges and we present our experiences and lessons learned from stakeholder dialogue, community engagement and household mapping strategies for precision mapping of hybrid schistosomes in two study communities of southern Malawi. Targeting to recruit a total sample size of 2400 individuals aged 2 to 45 years, in 2022 we carried out stakeholders' engagement at district, area and village levels through meetings with representatives from governmental and non-governmental organizations and communities. This paper examines the accessibility of digital learning tools in Norwegian schools, highlighting significant deficiencies that hinder equitable participation, especially for students with disabilities. Through inspections, surveys, and stakeholder consultations, critical gaps in compliance and competence are identified. Recommendations are provided to strengthen regulatory enforcement, enhance teacher training, and support the procurement of accessible learning resources, aiming to ensure all students can equally benefit from digital advancements in education.

PURPOSE: Wheelchair maintenance and repair services are critical for sustaining mobility, independence, and participation in daily activities. However, systemic inefficiencies, policy constraints, and workforce shortages contribute to prolonged repair delays, negatively impacting users' quality of life. While previous research primarily focused on individual stakeholder experiences, few studies have examined the perspectives of multiple groups simultaneously. This study builds on that work by integrating diverse viewpoints to uncover barriers and propose strategies to enhance service accessibi

BACKGROUND: Facial palsy affects 45-60% of acute stroke patients, significantly impacting their physical function, communication, and quality of life. Varied outcome measures across studies and clinical practices make it difficult to synthesise evidence and establish treatment effectiveness. This protocol describes in detail the professional stakeholder component of a multistage Core Outcome Set (COS) development programme for post-stroke facial palsy. This component focuses on identifying critically important outcomes (the "what" to measure) between two key stakeholder groups: clinicians and

BACKGROUND: Priority-setting partnerships (PSPs) are used to identify research questions that matter most to patients, caregivers, and clinicians. However, submissions that fall outside the scope of research prioritisation are rarely examined despite their potential to reveal important unmet needs. This study explored concerns relevant to practice and policy using the out-of-scope questions submitted during the Australian Child and Adolescent Cancer PSP.
METHODS: We conducted the Australian Child and Adolescent Cancer PSP with the James Lind Alliance to identify research priorities for childh
