Sixteen children and adolescents with extreme short stature secondary to hypopituitarism were compared to a matched group of physically healthy peers on a variety of psychological tests assessing general adjustment, body image, sex role development, sex-related fantasy, and reactions to frustration. With the exception of their reactions to frustrations, the psychological adjustment of children with hypopituitarism compared favorably with that of normal children. We examined the measurement of mindful screen time and whether it moderated links between screen-related psychological needs (satisfaction and frustration) and well-being. University students (N = 770, Mage = 19.96) completed a questionnaire online. The current paper presents a five-factor measurement model of anger summarizing scores on public-domain self-report measures of anger. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses of self-report measures of anger (UK, n = 500; USA, n = 625) suggest five replicable latent anger factors: anger-arousal, anger-rumination, frustration-discomfort, anger-regulation, and socially constituted anger. Functional abdominal pain disorders are commonly seen in the acute care setting and can be a source of frustration for patients and providers given their inherent chronic nature. However, an understanding of both the general approach to these disorders and the approach to specific common subtypes can help alleviate this frustration and lead to both short-term and long-term therapeutic success. This article describes the pathophysiology of these disorders and outlines a diagnostic and therapeutic approach to commonly seen functional abdominal pain disorders in adults.

This article compares the positive and negative stress response work attitudes of 126 home health care registered nurses (RNs) and 145 hospital RNs. Home health care nurses reported significantly lower levels of the negative work attitudes, anger/hostility, and frustration with the system. There was no significant difference between the two groups of RNs among the positive work attitudes of job satisfaction, positive affect, hope, meaningfulness, manageability, and trust in the supervisor and the negative work attitudes frustration with the supervisor, job alienation, and negative affect.
