We report a rare case of large facial hyperpigmentation in a 25-year-old female. Starting one month after birth, the patient developed a blue-brown patch on the right side of her face, interspersed with black macules and papules. As she aged, the lesion progressively enlarged and darkened, eventually covering the entire right side of her face. Nevus-associated melanoma (NAM) is histologically defined by coexisting nevus and melanoma components, yet the nevus component is frequently not visible on dermoscopy. A 46-year-old man with an erythematous, tender, swollen patch on the dorsum of his left fourth toe visited us. The biopsied tissue showed a proliferation of normally structured eccrine glands and ducts surrounded with abundant materials confirmed as mucin by toluidine blue stain. Mucinous eccrine nevus is an extremely rare entity, and only two cases have been reported in the literature. We describe a case of mucinous eccrine nevus which was late in onset and presented as a swollen patch.

A young man presented with blue nodules on the trunk, face, and extremities that gradually increased in number and size. His mother had similar lesions. Initially, blue rubber bleb nevus syndrome was suspected, but histological findings confirmed the diagnosis of hereditary glomuvenous malformations. Making the correct diagnosis spares the patient unnecessary evaluation for the arteriovenous malformations of the gastrointestinal tract associated with the former diagnosis.

OBJECTIVE: To describe the peculiarities in imaging acquisition of fourteen patients with choroidal nevus using the Broad Line Fundus Imaging (BLFI) technology.

BACKGROUND: Neonatal blue light phototherapy (NBLP) has been widely and successfully used for the treatment of neonatal jaundice to reduce the plasma concentration of bilirubin and, hence, to prevent kernicterus.
