This in vitro study aimed to evaluate the effects of office and home bleaching agents containing nano-hydroxyapatite (n-HAP) on the surface roughness, microhardness, and micromorphology of sound and demineralized enamel. A total of 120 enamel specimens were obtained from extracted human third molars, half of which underwent a demineralization cycle to simulate initial enamel demineralization. The specimens were divided into five subgroups (n = 12) based on the bleaching agent applied: no bleaching (control), 40% hydrogen peroxide (HP), 16% carbamide peroxide (CP), 40% HP + n-HAP, and 6% HP + n

Voluntary skin depigmentation is defined as a set of procedures for obtaining skin clarification for cosmetic purposes. Skin cancers are possible complications, but rarely reported. We describe a case observed in Ivory Coast. A 52-year-old Ivorian woman consulted the Dermatology Department of the University Hospital of Treichville, Abidjan for an ulceration of the middle third of the right clavicle evolving for 10 months. A diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) was confirmed by histological examination of the tumour biopsy. Retroviral serology (HIV) was negative. An excision of the tumour

Bleaching agents can cause certain surface alterations on the enamel, such as depressions, surface porosity, and surface irregularities; this makes the dentin more susceptible to post-operative tooth sensitivity (PoS). In addition, the presence of flawed or leaky restorations, gingival recession, or defects in the cementoenamel junction can also cause severe tooth sensitivity post tooth bleaching.Hence, the current study aimed to perform a systematic review to determine the efficacy of various desensitizing agents (DA) in managing post-operative tooth sensitivity and color alteration when appl
