Levamisole is a common contaminant in cocaine and has led to the emergence of an entity known as levamisole-induced vasculitis (LIV). There is no consensus on the management of this condition. A six-centre study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a single weekly treatment with 50 or 150 mg levamisole in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The results were compared with those of a previous placebo-controlled study, in which 150 mg levamisole was given on 3 or 7 consecutive days each week. BACKGROUND: Acne vulgaris (AV) is an inflammatory disorder of pilosebaceous unit and it affects over 85% of teenagers (peak age 17 years) during some point in their lives. Of these 30% have acne severe enough to require medical treatment. The overall incidence is comparable in both genders. This study investigated the toxicological, hematological and immunological effects of diets supplemented with levamisole and ivermectin on Colossoma macropomum. Fish were fed for 24, 96 and 240 h with diets containing 300, 600, 900 and 1200 mg of levamisole kg-1 of feed.
