Magnetic gelatin-hesperidin microrobots promote proliferation and migration of dermal fibroblasts.

Dermal fibroblasts play a crucial role in the formation of granulation tissue in skin wounds. Consequently, the differentiation, migration, and proliferation of dermal fibroblasts are considered key factors in the skin wound healing process. However, in patients with diabetic foot ulcers, the proliferation and migration of fibroblasts are impaired by reactive oxygen species and inflammatory factors impair. Therefore, a novel magnetic gelatin-hesperidin microrobots drug delivery system was developed using microfluidics. The morphology, motility characteristics, and drug release of the microrobo

Hesperidin ameliorates behavioral impairments and neuropathology of transgenic APP/PS1 mice.

In addition to cognitive impairments, deficits in non-cognitive behaviors are also common neurological sequelae in Alzheimer's disease and its animal models. Hesperidin, a flavanone glycoside found abundantly in citrus fruits, was orally given (100 mg/kg body weight) to 5-month-old transgenic APP/PS1 mice, a mouse model of cerebral amyloidosis for Alzheimer's disease. After a relatively short-term treatment of 10 days, hesperidin significantly restored deficits in non-cognitive nesting ability and social interaction. Further immunohistochemical analysis showed significantly attenuated β-amyloi

Therapeutic potential of 2S-hesperidin against the hepatotoxic effects of dichlorvos in rats.

Dichlorvos (DDVP) is an organophosphate insecticide that enhances food production and repels disease vectors. However, it provokes cytotoxicity. 2S-hesperidin (2S-HES) is a potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-lipidemic flavanone. Regardless, the 2S-HES impact on DDVP-occupied hepatic injury remains fuzzy. We evaluated the therapeutic potential of 2S-HES in a rat model of DDVP-elicited hepatic intoxication. Forty-two rats were randomly allotted to seven groups (n = 6/condition): control, DDVP (8 mg kg⁻1day⁻1), DDVP with 2S-HES (50 and 100 mg kg⁻1day⁻1), DDVP with atropine, and 2S-HE

Targeting CD33 With Hesperidin: A Natural Strategy for Acute Myeloid Leukemia Treatment.

CD33 is widely expressed on blasts in most acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients, serving as a marker of myeloid differentiation. The broad expression of CD33 on AML blasts has made it an attractive drug target so that therapies could be developed to eliminate malignant cells while sparing normal hematopoietic stem cells. Targeting CD33 by natural compounds can be an attractive therapeutic strategy to identify and develop small natural molecule inhibitors. Molecular docking was performed to analyze the interaction between a library of phytocompounds and CD33 using AutoDock Vina software. Hespe
