Impact of surface-active ionic solutions on the structure and function of laccase from trametes versicolor: Insights from molecular dynamics simulations.

Many protein-ionic liquid investigations have examined laccase interactions. Laccases are a class of poly-copper oxidoreductases that retain significant biotechnological relevance owing to their notable oxidative capabilities and their application in the elimination of synthetic dyes, phenolic compounds, insecticides, and various other substances. This study investigates the impact of surface active ionic liquids (SAILs), namely, decyltrimethylammonium bromide [N10111][Br] and 1-decyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride [C10mim][Cl] as cationic surfactant ionic liquids and cholinium decanoate [Chl][D

The antihyperglycemic activity of extracellular polysaccharopeptides (ePSP) obtained from Trametes versicolor (TV) strain LH-1 has been reported to increase cellular glucose uptake in HepG2 cells in an insulin-independent manner. Evidence indicates that oxidative stress plays a pivotal role in the development of diabetic complications. We aimed to use an in vivo model to investigate the effects of TV-ePSP on oxidative stress and glucose homeostasis in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Male Wistar rats fed with a high fat diet followed by a streptozotocin injection to induce T2DM were orally adm

A Preliminary Study on the Newly Isolated High Laccase-producing Fungi: Screening, Strain Characteristics and Induction of Laccase Production.

A simple separation method was used in this study to directly separate laccase-producing fungi from withered plant materials. A laccase-producing filamentous fungus was isolated and purified. The strain was highly similar to the species in genus Trametes by ITS sequence analysis, and therefore named Trametes sp. MA-X01. The addition of cupric ions and aromatic compounds to the liquid medium could induce the laccase synthesis in Trametes sp. MA-X01. Copper-induced laccase activity increased in a dose-dependent manner. The highest laccase activity (2138.9 ± 340.2 U/L) was obtained by adding 2.5
