All members of a weimaraner litter had clinical and radiographic signs of hypertrophic osteodystrophy shortly after weaning. Three dogs were necropsied. Radiographic metaphyseal densities, which are used to make a clinical diagnosis of hypertrophic osteodystrophy, were found to result from elongation of the calcified cartilage lattice of the primary spongiosa. During gestation and lactation, the food intake of female rats was restricted to 50% of the ad libitum stock diet intake of controls (C). Vascular injury or occlusion from intra-aortic balloon pumping (IABP) that results in actual or potential limb ischemia occurs more frequently than reported. OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to explore the efficacy of tramadol for neurogenic cough and describe the longitudinal treatment experience.
METHODS: A retrospective case series of adults with chronic cough who were treated with tramadol for neurogenic cough. A complete response was defined as no pathologic coughing, and a partial response was defined as 50 per cent or greater reduction in severity or frequency.

BACKGROUND: Although exceedingly rare, pheochromocytomas can present with heart failure and cardiogenic shock, leading to complex management considerations.
CASE SUMMARY: A 49-year-old woman presented with chest pain and palpitations, and ultimately developed cardiogenic shock secondary to a pheochromocytoma. She required Impella 5.5 preceded by Impella CP (Abiomed) and venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation support as a bridge to surgical resection. After adrenalectomy, she was weaned from mechanical circulatory support, with recovery of left ventricular function.

RATIONALE: Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, is widely prescribed for managing hypertension through vascular smooth muscle relaxation. However, severe amlodipine toxicity can lead to profound hypotension and refractory shock, often unresponsive to conventional treatments.
PATIENT CONCERNS: In this report, we reported a 32-year-old female case of amlodipine overdose who was admitted to our hospital on March 1, 2024, due to intentionally ingesting approximately 84 tablets of amlodipine (5 mg each).
DIAGNOSES: Patient was diagnosed with amlodipine overdose and refractory shock.

BACKGROUND: There are no prior cases in the literature that report immunoglobulins dropping secondary to oxcarbazepine use in an adolescent patient.
CASE: This patient was an adolescent female taking buspirone, mirtazapine, and oxcarbazepine for mood stabilization. She was admitted to an inpatient disordered eating program for malnutrition. During her malnutrition evaluation, the patient was found to have low serum IgA, low IgM, and low-normal IgG. A slow wean of oxcarbazepine was initiated, and all immunoglobulins showed an increasing trend after stopping oxcarbazepine.
