Suicidal behavior is a major public health concern and one of the leading causes of preventable death worldwide. Primary care plays a strategic role in suicide prevention owing to its accessibility, continuity of care, and longitudinal knowledge of patients, facilitating the early identification of individuals at risk. Collaboration with the Primary Care Clinical Psychology Program (PSICAP) strengthens this approach through continuous professional training, clinical consultation, and the establishment of shared criteria for assessment, follow-up, and referral. This paper provides evidence-base

BACKGROUND: People living with HIV (PLWH) are increasingly reaching older ages due to the success of antiretroviral therapy. However, aging with HIV is associated with increased risk of multimorbidity, neurocognitive impairment, frailty, psychosocial stress, and functional decline. Multidomain geriatric screening framed within an Age-Friendly 4Ms Framework (Mentation, Medication, Mobility, What Matters Most) and consideration of multi-complexity may help identify aging-related vulnerabilities and guide multidisciplinary care with greater impact on patient outcomes. However, real-world implemen

People experiencing homelessness (PEH) face high rates of medical and social instability and frequently rely on emergency departments (EDs) for care. Accordingly, NYC Health + Hospitals launched the ED Engagement + Navigation program to provide specialized care management for PEH in the ED. At one hospital from March 2024 to February 2025, in which 454 patients were engaged, ED visits for PEH were reduced from an average of 11.8 in the 6 months before enrollment to 9.0 in the 6 months after enrollment (P < .01): a 24% reduction, indicating the value of specialized ED services for PEH. BACKGROUND: Low back pain (LBP) presents with diverse manifestations, necessitating personalized treatment approaches that recognize various phenotypes within the same diagnosis, which could be achieved through precision medicine. Although prediction strategies have been explored, including those employing artificial intelligence (AI), they still lack scalability and real-time capabilities. Digital care programs (DCPs) facilitate seamless data collection through the Internet of Things and cloud storage, creating an ideal environment for developing and implementing an AI predictive tool to assi

This study aimed to investigate the effects of WeChat-based multidisciplinary team care (WMDT) in patients with ischemic stroke. Patients with ischemic stroke who received WMDT care (N = 89) or routine care (N = 102) were consecutively included in this prospective cohort study. The modified Rankin scale (mRS), Barthel index, EuroQol Five-Dimensions 3-Level Questionnaire (EQ-5D-3L), and patient satisfaction were evaluated at weeks 0 (at discharge), 4, and 8. The mRS score (1.6 ± 1.0 vs. 1.9 ± 1.1, p = 0.060) and percentage of patients with an mRS score > 2 (19.8% vs. 29.5%, p = 0.131) both tend

Delirium is among the most frequent neuropsychiatric complications in older people. It is associated with functional decline, increased morbidity and mortality, loss of independence, cognitive deterioration and an elevated risk of dementia. Contemporary concepts view delirium as the result of an interplay between predisposing vulnerability factors and acute physiological stressors. Current approaches to delirium prevention and management focus on nonpharmacological multicomponent interventions that combine early mobilization, cognitive reorientation, sleep hygiene, pain management, optimizatio
