A patient with a severe liver injury and an acute cardiac failure due to a traumatic tricuspid valve failure is presented. During liver surgery, massive venous bleeding was caused by regurgitation of blood through the insufficient tricuspid valve. Right ventricular failure, leading to persistent hemodynamic instability, and caused by massive posttraumatic tricuspid regurgitation, has been treated with biological valve replacement. Diagnosis and management of posttraumatic tricuspid insufficiency are discussed.

Five cases of subdural hematoma from arterial rupture (SDH-AR) are described and other 39 reported cases are reviewed. The average age of the patient is 59 and male to female ratio is 2:1. Fifty two percent of the patients have history of recent head injuries most of which are trivial. A very few patient have initial loss of consciousness. The rupture of an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is considered a high-risk surgical emergency, given the catastrophic consequences and high mortality rate. Splenic torsion with rupture of spleen is an extremely rare phenomenon. The clinical picture mimics several common conditions which are causes of acute abdomen and so it is seldom detected pre-operatively. An 18 year old female patient was admitted with an acute abdomen and shock. The provisional diagnosis was of a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. The concept that premature rupture of the membranes is due to an infectious process is well accepted. We present the case of a 60-year-old man who presented with a post-myocardial infarction ventricular septal rupture caused by a delayed presentation of myocardial infarction. Despite revascularization, hemodynamic stability, and a 10-day delay until operative management to allow for tissue healing, the patient experienced a fatal recurrent postoperative ventricular septal rupture.
