Stromal vascular fraction in the treatment of myositis.

Muscle regeneration is a physiological process that converts satellite cells into mature myotubes under the influence of an inflammatory environment progressively replaced by an anti-inflammatory environment, with precise crosstalk between immune and muscular cells. If the succession of these phases is disturbed, the immune system can sometimes become auto-reactive, leading to chronic muscular inflammatory diseases, such as myositis. The triggers of these autoimmune myopathies remain mostly unknown, but the main mechanisms of pathogenesis are partially understood. They involve chronic inflamma

3D-Bioprinting of Stromal Vascular Fraction for Gastrointestinal Regeneration.

Intestinal disorders such as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs), Crohn's disease, malabsorption syndromes, and gastrointestinal fistulae (GIFs) are often characterized by chronic inflammation, epithelial barrier disruption, impaired stromal remodeling, and defective angiogenesis. These multifactorial alterations hinder tissue repair and contribute to poor clinical outcomes, with limited efficacy from current therapeutic options. Despite recent advances in surgical and endoscopic techniques, current treatment options remain limited and are frequently accompanied by high morbidity and costs. In

Adipose tissue stromal vascular fraction and adipose tissue stromal vascular fraction plus platelet-rich plasma grafting: New regenerative perspectives in genital lichen sclerosus.

Lichen sclerosus (LS) is a chronic relapsing, inflammatory skin disorder usually involving the anogenital region of both sexes lacking a resolutive therapy. This study compared adipose tissue derived-stromal vascular fraction (AD-SVF) and AD-SVF-enriched platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy in the management of genital LS patients. Additionally, in vitro evaluation of cells and growth factors contained in the injected SVF has been evaluated as possible predictive factors for treatment outcome. The study population was 40 patients diagnosed with LS who were symptomatic despite medical treatment.

Clinical applications of adipose-derived stromal vascular fraction in veterinary practice.

Adipose tissue-derived stromal vascular fraction (AdSVF) comprises a heterogeneous cell population, including the multipotent mesenchymal stem cells, hematopoietic stem cells, immune cells, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and pericytes. As such, multipotent adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AdMSCs), are one of the important components of AdSVF. Commonly used techniques to harvest AdSVF involve enzymatic or non-enzymatic methods. The enzymatic method is considered to be the gold standard technique due to its higher yield. The cellular components of AdSVF can be resuspended in norma

Effects of adipose- derived stromal vascular fraction on asherman syndrome model.

Asherman's syndrome (AS) is an endometrial damage that results in infertility in women. Although stem cell therapy has been introduced as a potential treatment for this syndrome, its use in clinical settings remains challenging because of the likelihood of contamination and cell differentiation. Herein, we investigated the effects of adipose-derived stromal vascular fraction (SVF) transplantation on proliferation and angiogenesis in the endometrium in an AS model. The AS model was induced using scratch method in adult male Wistar rats, and SVF (5 × 10 (Simsir et al., 2019) cells) was locally a

Use of adipose tissue and stromal vascular fraction in hand surgery.

Adipose tissue is an abundant source of various cell types including not only adipocytes, but also progenitor and endothelial cells from thestroma. Interest in adipose tissue has surged since the identification in 2001 of adipose-derived stem cells (ADSCs) and of the stromal vascular fraction (SVF) obtained from adipose tissue by enzymatic digestion and centrifugation. SVF has been proven effective in ensuring tissue regeneration, thus improving tissue trophicityand vascularisation. These effects have generated strong interest among both physicians and surgeons, particularly in the field of ha

Administration of murine stromal vascular fraction ameliorates chronic experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis.

Administration of adipose-derived stromal/stem cells (ASCs) represents a promising therapeutic approach for autoimmune diseases since they have been shown to have immunomodulatory properties. The uncultured, nonexpanded counterpart of ASCs, the stromal vascular fraction (SVF), is composed of a heterogeneous mixture of cells. Although administration of ex vivo culture-expanded ASCs has been used to study immunomodulatory mechanisms in multiple models of autoimmune diseases, less is known about SVF-based therapy. The stromal vascular fraction mitigates radiation-induced gastrointestinal syndrome in mice.

BACKGROUND: The intestine is particularly sensitive to moderate-high radiation dose and the development of gastrointestinal syndrome (GIS) leads to the rapid loss of intestinal mucosal integrity, resulting in bacterial infiltration, sepsis that comprise patient survival. There is an urgent need for effective and rapid therapeutic countermeasures. The stromal vascular fraction (SVF) derived from adipose tissue is an easily accessible source of cells with angiogenic, anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties. We studied the therapeutic impact of SVF and its action on the intestinal stem cell

Diabetic foot is one of the severest complications of diabetes. In severe cases, this disease may be lead to amputation or even death due to secondary infection and ischemic necrosis. Since the ineffectiveness of traditional therapy, autologous stem cell transplantation has been used to treat diabetic foot. This simple, safe, and effective therapy is expected to be applied and promoted in the future. In this review, we described the detailed pathogenesis of diabetic foot and the common clinical treatments currently used. We also revealed vascular remodeling as the potential mechanism of therape

Stromal Vascular Fraction and its Role in the Management of Alopecia: A Review.

Adipose cells organized in small clusters under the reticular dermis closely interact with hair follicular cells and regulate the hair cycle. Intradermal adipocyte progenitor cells are activated toward the end of the telogen phase to proliferate and differentiate into mature adipocytes. These cells, surrounding the hair follicles, secrete signaling molecules that control the progression of the hair cycle. Diseases associated with defects in adipocyte homeostasis, such as lipodystrophy and focal dermal hypoplasia, lead to alopecia. In this review, we discuss the potential influence of stromal v
