AIM: Closed treatment of atrophic mandible fractures often results in malunion, pseudoarthrosis and pain. Open reduction and rigid internal fixation (ORIF) is still indicated for displaced atrophic mandible fractures. INTRODUCTION: Reconstruction has evolved long way from primary closure to flaps. As time evolved, better understanding of vascularity of flap has led to the development of innovative reconstructive techniques. These flaps can be raised from various parts of the body for reconstruction and have shown least donor site morbidity. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of lightweight carbon fiber safety footwear in reducing occupational foot-related conditions.
METHODS: A retrospective pre-post study was conducted among 3,529 users of safety footwear at a Taiwanese industrial facility. Diagnoses of tinea pedis, plantar fasciitis, and tendinitis were compared between 2021 and 2023 using deidentified occupational health surveillance data.

Our primary aim was to evaluate the relationship between dermatophytosis and disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) therapy in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
