OBJECTIVE: To identify the patient profile that obtains better clinical and quality of life improvement after lumbar spinal stenosis surgery, comparing the results in the pre and postoperative periods.
METHODS: Thirty-seven patients with lumbar spine stenosis submitted to surgery were prospectively evaluated. Through the 36-Item Short Form General Health Survey (SF-36) questionnaire we performed a preoperative analysis to identify morbidities and social security benefit earning. OBJECTIVE: The present study investigates whether psychological factors influence the habituation or sensitization effect during repeated COVID-19 outbreaks.
METHOD: A total of 838 social workers from districts affected by different waves of COVID-19 outbreaks (two waves, n = 387; one wave, n = 177; zero waves, n = 274) reported their posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms, psychological security, emotional regulation, resilience, spiritual health, and social support (December 2021).

Food insecurity poses a challenge for cancer patients, who must maintain adequate nutrition during treatment. This study analyzed data from 295 low-income participants in the NCI-funded Food to Overcome Outcome Disparities trial to examine the overlap between degree of food security and other essential needs.
