PURPOSE: To report complications after the implantation of intrastromal corneal ring segments (Keraring; Mediphacos, Belo Horizonte, Brazil) in keratoconic eyes using a femtosecond laser (IntraLase; Advanced Medical Optics, Santa Ana, California, USA) for channel creation.
METHODS: Retrospective chart review of 531 patients (850 eyes) who underwent Keraring insertion using a femtosecond laser for channel creation. Intraoperative and postoperative complications were recorded.

Two patients with pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PEX) in whom late spontaneous in-the-bag intraocular lens (IOL) and capsular tension ring (CTR) dislocation occurred 3 and 6 years after cataract surgery are described. This article reports the experience of percutaneous closure of patent foramen ovale with the PFO Star device. Between January 2000 and December 2002, 44 consecutive patients with a mean age of 53 years were included in this registry. We report our initial experience with percutaneous closure of ostium secundum atrial septal defect using Amplatzer device.
