CONTEXT.—: The improved survival and better response to treatments of human papillomavirus (HPV)-related oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) highlight the need for effective tools in evaluating HPV status on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) cancer tissues. To date, there is no agreement regarding the most appropriate method for HPV testing on FFPE materials.
OBJECTIVE.—: We aimed to investigate the performance of the Anyplex II HPV28 (Anyplex) on FFPE OPSCC tissues and to compare it with 2 other methods for HPV-DNA detection and p16 overexpression.

PURPOSE: This archival study examined the relationship between the speech sound production skill of kindergarten children and literacy outcomes in Grades 1-3 in a data set where most children's vocabulary skills were within normal limits, speech therapy was not provided until 2nd grade, and phonological awareness instruction was discouraged at the time data were collected.
METHOD: Data were accessed from the Templin Archive (2004), and the speech sound production skill of 272 kindergartners were examined relative to literacy outcomes in 1st and 2nd grade (reading) and 3rd grade (spelling).

The northern water hemlock is an endangered species that has been severely diminished in Hungary due to water regulation and river control in the 18th and 19th centuries. We collected data on this highly toxic plant from Hungary using archival sources, including digitized databases of daily and weekly newspapers and books. By exploring historical digital archives, we identified 88 locatable occurrence records spanning 65 flora mapping grids, 52 of which represent new additions to its known distribution. Between 1721 and 1943, a total of 103 records were found relating to its vernacular names.
