PURPOSE: This study aimed to investigate the chemopreventive potential of the ethanolic extract of Luisia tenuifolia Blume against skin cancer.
METHODS: The ethanolic whole-plant extract of Luisia tenuifolia was tested for acute and sub-chronic dermal toxicity according to the OECD guidelines 402 and 411. BACKGROUND: Microneedling has been shown to release growth factors, which improves the appearance of acne scars by itself and in combination with different therapy modalities. Combining microneedling with Chemical Reconstruction of Scarred Skin (CROSS) therapy using a 60% phenol and 0.2% croton oil combination results in a significant improvement of acne scarring.

In this study, the chemical composition of the essential oil (EO) extracted from Croton blanchetianus Baill leaves was identified, and antimicrobial and antibiofilm activities against Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, and Escherichia coli strains were determined.
