METHODS: 198 eyes with mild to moderate keratoconus who underwent ICRS insertion were included. Our data were divided into 2 groups, based on whether CXL was performed before ICRS insertion. A PSM was used to balance the following covariates: age, sex, ICRS segment thickness, arc size, optical zone,

BACKGROUND: The aim was to evaluate the effect of diquafosol on tear film parameters and corneal aberrations after cataract surgery.
METHODS: This retrospective, comparative, observational case series included patients who underwent cataract surgery with or without peri-operative use of diquafosol three per cent ophthalmic solution. Patients in group I (31 eyes) were treated with diquafosol three per cent ophthalmic solution six times a day from one week before surgery to three months after surgery. Patients in group II (33 eyes) underwent cataract surgery without being administered diquafoso

PURPOSE: To compare the ocular wave-front of eyes with silicone Intraocular lens (IOLs) with aspheric and spherical optics after cataract surgery, taking into account the patient's pupil size under reading conditions and after pupil dilatation.
METHODS: In this institutional prospective, randomized, controlled, patient and examiner masked, bilateral trial with intra-individual comparison, 60 eyes of 30 patients with bilateral age-related cataract were included. Each patient received a spherical IOL (CeeOn Edge, 911A, AMO, Santa Ana, CA, USA) in one eye and an aspheric IOL (Tecnis, Z9000, AMO)

PURPOSE: To analyze by means of a vectorial method the corneal astigmatic changes occurring after crosslinking (CXL) in keratoconic eyes and to determine the relationship between these changes and the final clinical outcome.
METHODS: A total of 16 eyes of 12 patients with the diagnosis of mild to moderate keratoconus and that underwent CXL surgery were included. All surgeries were performed using the standard technique with epithelial debridement. Visual, refractive, keratometric, corneal aberrometric, and corneal biomechanical changes were evaluated during a 24-month follow-up. Additionally,
